(Pocket-lint) - Both the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X have been out in the wild for a while now, but stock is still quite hard to come by in both the US and UK - particularly for the flagship model.

Why is the Xbox Series X out of stock? Well, the electronic component shortages affecting all manner of goods is still ongoing, and the general demand for the console is still very high.

Back in October, Xbox boss Phil Spencer indicated that the supply issues would continue to prove a challenge into the early months of 2022. Here's hoping that this proves to be the final stretch of scarcity before stock for the consoles becomes more commonplace.

Either way, for those trying to find where is selling the Series X (or Series S) right now, this guide will steer you in the right direction.

Below, we'll be showing you the best prices through our live widget, as well as providing quick links to the most popular retailers.

Let's find you a Series X or Series S.

Xbox Series X availability and stock

As a brief summary, this is the better option to consider from Microsoft if you want a fuller 'next-gen' experience. It may not be able to take full advantage of the impressive internals just yet, but this console is an investment that will pay dividends as the console generation rolls on.

Xbox Series S availability and stock

This is the console for those who don't want to splash out on the Series X but do still want to upgrade from their current console and leap to the next generation. It likely won't offer the staying power of the Series X as the generation's games develop, but it's an extraordinary pickup for the next few years, at least.
